Faculty Positons

Associate/Full Professor of Social Work and Program Director

The successful candidate will direct the Social Work Department and facilitate the development an MSW program while supporting and collaborating with the BSW Program/Field Director. The position will also include teaching social work courses in areas such as HBSE, policy, and practice with an opportunity to develop and teach elective social work courses in the area of expertise. Collaboratively, the Program Director is responsible for the development and administrative oversight of the Social Work program. This can include responsibility for maintaining CSWE accreditation compliance, recruiting and training appropriate adjunct instructors, department faculty oversight, budget management, tenure- track faculty duties, student advising and oversight and input into student recruitment, marketing and admissions.

Assistant Professor of Computer Science (Mathematical Sciences), Tenure Track

This is a full-time (10 months per year), tenure-track position faculty position in Computer Science with committee and advising responsibilities. Faculty responsibilities include 24 credit course load per year in Computer Science at the undergraduate level. Additional faculty responsibilities include scholarship, advising students, program administration, committee service and departmental and university activities. Assistant/Associate Professor of Criminal Justice

Primary responsibilities will include teaching courses in the undergraduate Criminal Justice Program at our St. Davids and Esperanza locations. Courses may include: Introduction to Criminal Justice, Policing, Courts, Corrections, Comparative Criminal Justice Systems, Restorative Justice, or Research Methods Additional responsibilities will include advising students, assisting with program administration, and participating in departmental, college, and university activities. Given strategic growth initiatives, there may be opportunity for the further development of online programming and program certification. This opportunity is for a full-time, tenure track, Assistant/Associate Professor of Criminal Justice in the Department of Social Transformation (10-month appointment; rank commensurate with qualifications).

Adjunct Faculty (Chemistry)

There are three openings to teach sections of organic chemistry laboratories and one opening to teach a section of organic chemistry lecture for undergraduates majoring in the natural sciences. Preferred applicants will have a Ph.D. in a chemical sciences field, and experience teaching at the college/university level. Applicants with a Master’s degree and experience in the area of organic chemistry will also be considered.

Adjunct Faculty (Criminal Justice)

Applications are being accepted for adjunct faculty to teach the following criminal justice courses: Introduction to Criminal Justice, Prosecution and the Courts, Introduction to Policing, Correctional Systems, Restorative Justice, Comparative Criminal Justice Systems, Research Methods, Statistics, or a special topics course within their field. Applicants must have a master's degree in criminal justice or a closely related field; and experience teaching at the college/university level is preferred.

Faculty, Director of Nursing Clinical Resource and Simulation Lab, Tenure Track

The Director of Nursing Clinical Resource and Simulation Lab serves as the frontline for planning, designing, implementing and evaluating simulation-based learning for the clinical simulation education of the Traditional BSN and the BSN2 second degree Programs within the Department of Nursing. Primary responsibilities include management of the Nursing Clinical Resource and Simulation Lab, coordination of simulation activities across programs, faculty development, future planning, marketing and guiding use of the Lab. This position reports to the Chair of Nursing and supervises the Nursing Clinical Simulation Lab Coordinator and Lab Assistant. This position is full-time faculty with administrative responsibilities, 11 month contract, 50% faculty (teaching)/50% administrative.

Assistant/Associate Professor, Marriage & Family Therapy

This position will engage a qualified individual in the exciting advancement of two doctoral programs that integrate Marriage and Family Therapy studies with a uniquely Christian perspective of human flourishing. Development of a distinctive research community invested in a scholar/practitioner model will involve the faculty member in wide-ranging scholarly activities with other faculty and a diverse student body from across the U.S. Contributing to the vision of holistic mental health care for individuals, families, churches and communities is elemental to this position. The full time, tenure track faculty member in the Doctoral Programs in Marriage and Family Therapy is responsible for the instruction, scholarship, dissertation/thesis supervision, academic advising, service and administrative duties as assigned by the department chair. This position involves a full engagement in the collaborative development of the DA and PhD programs and is a ten month position.

Adjunct Faculty, Anatomy and Physiology I

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Biology or a related field, and experience teaching at the college/university level.

Adjunct Faculty (Mathematics)

Adjunct Faculty (DA in Marriage and Family)

Applications are being accepted for adjunct faculty in the Doctor of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling program in the Campolo College Graduate and Professional Studies (CCGPS). Opportunities exist for faculty at the doctoral level in this blended delivery program with week-long intensive residency classwork at our Falls Center location in Philadelphia combined with online teaching for each semester, Summer (May-August), Fall (September - December), and Spring (January - April). Position Responsibilities: Chair/Faculty Help Dean hire and train adjunct, part-time and full-time faculty. Contribute to all PDE program reviews for traditional undergraduate certifications and degree programs and completes major review reports for external review bodies. Coordinate student progress toward degree/certification in collaboration with other College faculty and student advisors. Coordinate responses to student issues in collaboration with other College faculty and staff. Speak at Open Houses and participate in other student recruitment activities. Assist with preparation of reports and other documents, including the coordination of student learning goals for the programs. Prepare and/or revise program four-year-plans annually. Ensure curricular and program planning consistency between the traditional, nontraditional and post bachelorette certification programs. Stay abreast of current trends in the field. Contribute to curriculum development needs. Use engaging instructional and training strategies with students. Develop high quality onground, online and hybrid coursework. Staff Positions

Enrollment Counselor – GPS

The Enrollment Counselor, reporting to the Assistant/Associate Director of Enrollment, is responsible for the recruitment of students in a recruitment territory. His/Her major task is to develop a communication strategy that will result in getting the Eastern University message into the hands of prospective students and will require travel to and from off-site recruitment opportunities throughout the year, and may include evening, weekend and overnight responsibilities.

Counselor III

The Counselor III provides counseling and related services to Eastern University students enrolled in the College of Arts Sciences, provides consultation and outreach services to the Eastern University community, and assists the CCAS Director with supervision of counseling staff and advanced clinical care issues.

General Maintenance Worker

Reporting to the Director of Plant Operations, the General Maintenance Worker maintains and makes general repairs on mechanical equipment, plumbing, HVAC, electric, minor carpentry, painting, and welding, completes preventative maintenance as needed and other duties as assigned or required. This position is classified as essential personnel under the university policy and is subject to department policies regarding essential personnel. Performs essential duties related to facilities work as identified by management during inclement weather, emergency situations, or as campus needs dictate. Staff, full-time, hourly, 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm), 12 months per year. Overtime and On-Call status are required as requested by the Director of Plant Operations.

Public Safety Officer

A Public Safety Officer patrols the campus to discourage criminal behavior, provides shuttle transportation, secures buildings, and interacts with all members of the Community to promote a sense of well-being and security, and enhance the quality of life on the Eastern University campus.
