Leeds SIPLink Maintenance Work

Scheduled - Node4 Collaboration engineers will be undertaking maintenance on our Leeds SIPLink platform.

This work is not expected to be service affecting however the platform should be considered at risk during this window.

This work does not affect the Derby SIPLink platform.

Node4 Derby Building Works

Scheduled - Node4 will be undertaking some building works in our Derby offices during November and December

As a result of this, some non DC areas of the building (mainly DC1 reception) will be classed as a construction site and we will have additional controls in place to ensure the safety of staff, contractors and visitors

Works will commence on Monday 5th Nov and finish on Friday 21st Dec

During this time, access to DC1 Hall 1 and DC1 Hall 2 will be available, but we may accompany you to and from your racks for safety reasons.

On the 12th, 13th and 14th of November we will be installing steel supports, so access to the DC will be restricted to emergencies only and goods in routes will be disrupted making kit installation / removal difficult.

Please plan your DC visits accordingly and speak to our DC Ops team if you have any questions. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Leeds SBC Service Degredation

Investigating - Node 4 engineers have identified call failures for certain customers within the Wakefield SBC cluster. All SIPLINK customers that make use of the Leeds SBC cluster have failover capability with the Derby SBC clusters which are not impacted, however due to the nature of the error our upstream carrier is not attempting to fail calls over to the Derby SBCs.

We are implementing changes for the impacted SIPLINK customers which fails over all calls to the Derby SBCs and prevents calls from failing.
An emergency maintenance period has been arrange for 22:00-24:00 tonight to perform restorative maintenance against the Leeds SBC cluster. It is possible that during multiple periods within this window the Leeds SBCs will be unavailable, including to customer not currently experiencing issues

Monitoring - Maintenance work was successfully applied to resolve the issue, and services have been stable since the work was completed. We will continue to monitor the service to ensure stability remains.

Investigating - We have identified some network instabilities that may be causing some issues for some customers. Our network engineers are currently working on the issue to bring affected services back up as quickly as possible. We will update shortly.

Resolved - The issue has been identified and resolved, We are seeing stability on all platforms as of now.

Scheduled - On Tuesday 16th October, engineers will perform emergency maintenance on N4Protect management systems. This is required to troubleshoot a known issue. Management systems may be unavailable intermittently throughout this maintenance.


At Risk – 16th October 2018 19:00 - 21:00 BST

No impact is expected to the N4Protect firewalls, however they should be considered “At Risk” for the duration of the window.

During this maintenance N4Protect management systems will be intermittently unavailable, any customers requiring urgent firewall changes should raise these through Node4's Service Desk.

Updates will be posted to N4Status during this planned maintenance.
